Join us for a cruise to Orcutt! We’ll meet at the parking lot next to Shoreline Café in Santa Barbara at 10 AM and hit the road at 10:30 AM. This scenic route will take us over San Marcos Pass via Highway 154, through the Santa Ynez Valley, then west on Highway 246 past Buellton and through the vineyards of the Santa Rita Hills. We’ll arrive in Lompoc before heading up Harris Grade Road — a narrow, winding mountain road built in 1916 that climbs into the Santa Maria Valley. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos at the summit and take in sweeping views of both valleys. The full drive is about 75 miles and should take around 1.5 hours.
Our lunch destination is the Far Western Tavern in Old Town Orcutt — a local landmark known for its Santa Maria–style barbecue, oak-grilled steaks, and Western charm. Lunch will wrap up between 2–3 PM.
For those looking to continue the drive after lunch, you can explore Foxen Canyon Road or cruise south along the 101 through Gaviota Pass for a scenic ride back to Santa Barbara.
